I want to add photos to my website so I sat a long time, from various angles, looking at the space I do reiki sessions. It is relaxing, to me, but it’s hard to know what a stranger may feel, coming in. I try to see it from a new perspective, as a client might. I decide I should add some reiki touches. What is a reiki touch? Are there things that belong in a reiki room? What things?
If you have never had a reiki session allow me to share what it is like in my reiki space. I have a room, just beyond the entrance of my home, where the sessions take place. It has a couch, a small table and a chair that I use to do a preliminary talk with my client prior to the reiki experience. Its kind of plain. I don’t need anything else in the room, and prefer to keep it clear so the reiki energy has room to flow and I need room to move around the reiki table. The reiki table is the same as a massage table, soft and comfortable. I add extra padding to mine and drape soft flannel sheets over it so its warm and cozy for your experience. I have seen some reiki rooms with different things but since the reiki experience is done with the client laying on the reiki table, usually eyes closed during the session, there is not a need for much decor; In my opinion.
When you come to my reiki space, you will feel the tranquility of the space, and there are just enough items to be comfortable, without feeling crowded. I invite you, dear reader, to contact me, and come for a reiki session, so you can give me feedback, as well as provide a review for other readers. I added a candle because I was meditating in my reiki space, yesterday. My reiki space is ready for you, dear reader, just as it is.
May your new year be going well and the joy of the new beginning linger with you as we glide throught the first week of 2024. Light and Love
